Bedroom decorating ideas matter! You can relax well when your bedroom feels like your personal sanctuary. Irrespective of what you prefer, there are many trending and beautiful bedroom ideas you can try.

In my PoV, coastal master bedroom ideas are the best. I’ve long been a fan of coastal bedroom decor. And yet you may have other preferences. So, let’s draw inspiration for the master bedroom decor in this blog.

You may not know that 30.8 million Americans live in single apartments. So, we will also share tips on how to decorate a small master bedroom. However, I hit a dead end when I started my research. I discovered that people have numerous choices in design patterns, as in design itself when I talked to close friends and family.

For example, I like aspirational designs that fit in small classic bedrooms. Meanwhile, many people prefer DIY bedroom ideas for their master bedroom decor. Why don’t we explore more about different design ideas and how inspirational they are forf your bedroom.

15 Amazing Master Bedroom Interior Design Ideas to Make Your Day

At our site:voiceofaction.org, we believe that small changes can have prominent effects. With this POV, we want to suggest simple yet intriguing master bedroom decor ideas. We will use all basic props in our design themes. Still we will create the maximum effect with the same.

For example, we will mainly focus on our walls, ceilings, headboards, rugs, lights, and windows. Lastly, we will also brainstorm which color looks best on our walls. Again, if you ask me, I’m a great fan of moody blues. When I hit the sack, blue gives me the most soothing hues. Similarly, there are tons of people who love white indoors for their master bedroom decor.

Last year, I was on a trip to Los Angeles to attend Designers’ Week. I discovered that most people love white interiors there. At the same time, people are going crazy over ombre decor themes. In comparison, monochrome hues are gradually losing their place. Arer you one of those?

That said, let’s now dive into some unique and noticeable master bedroom decor ideas:

1. Play the Classics on Repeat

Do you want to lighten your bedroom in a classic pattern? People will say- how’s it different from a monochrome design?

Well, it is. A classic wallpaper decor with a matching bed skirt can look as elegant as anything. But the catch is to choose your prints carefully. Hannon Doody says that golden brown traditional prints on a white background are the perfect classic room decor you can ask for.

Cost: 8x wallpaper rolls, which costs $14 to $20 for one roll

2. Help Small Spaces Live Large

Those who want to decorate a small master bedroom have their day now. Don’t compromise your dream bedroom decorating ideas, rain or shine. What if your master bedroom is only 14×14? It may be as decorative as your farmhouse bedroom.

Indeed, we need space-saving ideas for this small room. Firstly, we can make space by doing away with lights. Shocked?

Don’t be. I’m talking about replacing table lamps with wall scones. Meanwhile, smaller plush ottomans can also replace the grand side tables in your master bedroom. And for the walls, I prefer classic white. White is a color that creates radiance. Also, an illusion, making the room feel more spacious.

Cost: 2x wall scones, each priced below $50; 2 ottomans priced at $75 each and white wall painting at $3 to $6 each square foot.

3. Let the Walls Talk

There’s one thing. I love coastal bedroom decor as much as I like island decor. So, interior designer Bohlert Massey influenced me to introduce this inlet beach bedroom decor.

Well, the room’s trim. The walls are maritime sky pink, to be precise. Also, all the walls are murals. I prefer a beach wave 3d artifact on walls, handmade on Venetian plaster walls.

Cost: base paint on walls will cost $250 and mural painting costs depend on the artist.

4. Commit to a Canopy

A statement canopy bed is the best for the bed in your primary bedroom. Its headboard runs to the ceiling top. Meanwhile, it resembles a pelmet and curtains design. Classic indeed! The rest of the room is white. However, the walls have an elegant striped design.

Cost: The customized headboard costs around $500. And the wall paint is $150 approximately.

5. Shift into neutrals

Neutral walls, window palettes, and bedding. Ever wondered how they would seem together? Bland? Maybe. But here’s the trick. The same decor will seem as sophisticated as any classic, with some color pops. Things that add the color pops are:

  • A golden mirror frame on one of the walls
  • Nude brown bed
  • A green table lamp
  • A few flowers in a blue and white vase around the corner

6. Come Up with Creative Workarounds

All of our master bedroom decorating ideas start from the bed. But that’s not the creative part of the decor. Instead, our bed will have a straight headboard. And neutral bedding.

We will act creatively with the walls. We will paste wallpaper tiles that have macrame jungle leaves on white. Secondly, we will install a room rug. It will be fluffy and have extensive checks to go with them. Don’t forget the mint green curtains and pillows on the bed.

Cost: The wallpaper costs $50 for five tiles. However, the solid-colored curtain costs $2-3 per meter. But the most expensive item here is the rug. It costs $100 to $150.

7. Coastal cozy

A coastal bedroom can embrace any decor plan. However, blue hues and shades should be dominant in it. Moreover, basic picture frames should be on the walls and a duo bed with blue tinted bedding. The perfect wall decor for bedroom.

Cost: the bed setup will cost around $500. However, the wall painting and decor won’t be more than $200.

8.  Wood Wall Treatments

Many people want a serene element in their master bedroom decor. I have the perfect recipe for them. Firstly, shiplap your walls. After that, paint them white. Have other shades of brown in your room. Maybe a brown rattan ottoman, too.

Finish it off with indoor greens. Bonsai trees would look elegant in this decor set-up.

Cost: Shiplap costs between $500 and $1500 for single rooms. In comparison, the painting cost is negligible.

9. Neutral, Simple Patterns

Famous Designer Raili Clasen came up with this decor plan. Two things are essential in this decor plan. Firstly, we will go with white walls throughout. Secondly, we will buy black and white textured bedding and a rug for the room.

Cost: The rug and linen will cost $250. The cost of painting the walls is $150.

10. Include Vibrant, Rich Colors and Textures

How would a creme and sports blue master bedroom decor seem? Vibrant, right? For the walls, we are projecting gorgeous sea blue. In addition, we are thinking of a creme rug with a creme headboard. In contrast, we are also planning a brown wooden floor.

Cost: The wallpapers cost $12 for each small roll. We may need 12 to 15 rolls for the same room. The plush padded creme rug costs $200.

11. Keep it minimal

Be it your bedroom wall decor or the whole master bedroom decor. Nothing beats minimalist bedroom design ideas. I am thinking of neutral walls and a chocolate brown wooden floor for a minimalist bedroom. Meanwhile, a simple bed with a square headboard would be fitting.

Cost: The cost of wall painting is $150. And flooring costs are $6.40 per sq ft.

12. Highlight Great Views

Have stellar views around your bedroom? Make it the center of attraction. Cathay Groome, the famous designer’s home, stands beside Lake Burton. There are large bay windows in her bedroom. And her bed faces the windows.

Cost: Custom room decor costs may vary with locale and settings.

13. Color as accents

Well, accent walls have been my personal favorite for ages. And now there’s hardly an American who doesn’t love accent decor! My dream accent bedroom will have macrame walls to begin with. Tinted beige rugs to go with that. And a white bed with white bedding. The curtains will be white. Meanwhile, the armchair beside the bed will be white as well.

Cost: The wall color cost $150. The white bedding costs another $150.

14. Embrace Bold Patterns

What’s bolder than a rattan bed in a white room? Well, nothing. I am thinking of adding a kantha-printed fluffy rug to make it a signature move. And beddings that match rattan in color.

There are other props in the room, like a bowl chair and a bedside cabinet, that balance the bold contrast.

Cost: A creative co-op sunrise pattern headboard bed costs $590.

15. Incorporate Unique Tables

I once found a cool vintage table with 5-inch table stands. I painted it beige. And kept it beside my duo bed. Meanwhile, the theme is mainly based on the unique tables. Getting that vintage look is hard if you’re skipping the flea market search.

To make the table stand out, we will keep the rest of the room as neutral as possible.

Cost: The table costs $50. Its painting costs $50. The bedroom wall painting costs another $150.
