Rebounce Game

It’s vacation time, and your kids need some serious action indoors.

Why don’t you choose Hasbro’s 2025 tabletop trampoline game, Rebounce?

However, the Rebounce Game is for everyone aged 8 and up.

Once you bounce a foam ball off a pad, your opponent will have to catch it.

Thus, whichever team earns 10 points first wins the game.

Does it sound like a living-room version of the game of table tennis? Yes, in spirit.

However, here the primary skill is aiming the balls and not catching them.

Hi, in today’s blog, I will discuss the Rebounce Game rules, how to set it up, scoring, practical tips, and more.

Hasbro’s Rebounce Game: A Quick Overview

Hasbro’s Rebounce is a fast-paced, loud, and chaotic tabletop trampoline game designed for 2 to 6 players aged 8 and up.
How to Play and Score
• The Goal: Be the first team to score 10 points.
• Gameplay: Teams split into two sides (Blue vs. Yellow).
The active player bounces a small foam ball off the mini-trampoline pad, and the opposing team must catch it.
• Scoring Points: You score a point if the opponent misses the catch, or if they make a bad serve (missing the trampoline entirely).
You log points by hitting your team’s colored button on the unit.

What Is Rebounce Game? My Take On The Noise Around It

What Is Rebounce Game

Hasbro brought the Rebounce Game to the March 2025 Toy Fair.

Hasbro introduced it as a team game with three modes.

Furthermore, the game was available in retail stores from August 2025.

However, there is some confusion regarding the actual launch of the game.

The product page of Hasbro shows a May 30, 2025 launch date.

On the other hand, The Toy Insider listed it at a $19.99 MSRP with a May 31, 2025 date.

The Noise Around The Rebounce Game

The legacy of Hasbro has always been about delivering timer-driven action games.

Also, each game has a distinct audio or “noise,” making it delightfully chaotic.

Again, the original Perfection game was patented in 1973 by the Harmonic Reed Company, which later became known as Reed Toys.

However, Hasbro now owns the game, and the latest Rebounce Game makes the same bargain as the Perfection Game.

The game is cheap, short, loud, and Chaotic with a capital C.

Moreover, this game fits the strategy behind the “Family Game Night” campaign of Hasbro in 2008.

Having said that, I have read many reviewers calling the music of Rebounce chaos.

Still, Hasbro believes a game should come with a soundtrack you can’t escape.

How To Play The Rebounce Game?

How To Play The Rebounce Game

The game is simple. However, you need to know what counts as a point.

Serve And Catch

You hold the ball and bounce it off the trampoline or the rim around it.

The members of the opponent team will try to catch it.

Once they catch the ball, they can bounce it on the trampoline or pass it to a teammate who bounces it.

What Counts As A Point

Scoring PointsWho Gets It?
Missed CatchThe bouncing team gets the point.
Press your color’s button to record the score.
Bad ServeThe ball hits any surface other than the trampoline.
The opponent team wins.
Rim BouncesIf the ball caroms toward the other team, they must catch it.
If it bounces back toward you, you must catch it, or they score.
WinningThe team earning 10 points first will win the match.
Hold the center button for three seconds, then store the ball in its holder.

The Three Modes Of Rebounce Game

ModeWhat changes
Rebounce (classic)Standard rules above
RemixWhen the game shouts “Freeze,” and the music stops, you may pass the ball but not bounce it.
Bouncing during a freeze gives the other team a point (a whistle sounds).
ReflexYou must bounce quickly after each catch.
The window shrinks as the game goes on, the music speeds up, and a whistle plus a point for the other team punishes slow bounces.

My favorite is the Remix mode because it involves players of all age groups.

“Freeze” equalizes everyone.

One Amazon reviewer says Reflex is their family’s favorite, and a Macy’s reviewer says everyone laughed as the music sped up.

What Reviewers And Parents Say About The Rebounce Game?

  • Toys, Tots, Pets & More (TTPM) has given the Rebounce Game an editorial rating of 4 out of 5.

In the Editorial Review, TTPM has also written,

“Get ready for action-packed gameplay right at your tabletop with Rebounce.”

  • Macy’s has given Hasbro a rating of 4.7.

The review has also highlighted “arcade-style sound effects and lights.”

Here, I even want to add a few points as a parent.

There is no clarity about who serves after a point.

The natural rule will be that the scorer serves the ball after winning a point.

Moreover, there are no rules about one-handed catches, and balls that touch the floor before a hand is also undefined.

Still, the rule I follow is that if the ball hits the floor first, it is a miss.

Spam And Real Risks

Spam And Real Risks

Rebounce Game is a crowded name.

The model name offered by Hasbro is G1428.

If a listing does not match the model number, avoid buying it.

Name Collisions

A Walmart marketplace listing titled “Reflex Sticks Rebounce Game” is a falling-sticks reaction trainer with a remote control.

It is a different product using the name. Lookalike “bounce” games with similar names also crowd the same results.

Price Swings

The MSRP is $19.99. I saw $24.99 (backordered) at an independent toy retailer, $16.99 on a consumer blog, and $14.99 at Walmart.

Those are snapshots, but paying well above MSRP usually means a third-party markup.

Questionable Listing Copy

A European retailer calls Rebounce a “motorized unit” that creates random bounces.

Hasbro’s own description covers scoring, lights, and sounds with no motor. Treat the motor claim as unverified.

Incentivized Reviews

Some Macy’s reviews were collected as part of a promotion, and one reviewer disclosed receiving the game free from Influenster and Hasbro.

Disclosed doesn’t mean wrong, but weigh it.

Safety Flags

QVC’s listing warns of a small-parts choking hazard.

It says that it’s not for children under 3, and notes the flashes may trigger epilepsy in sensitized individuals.

Also, keep spare AAA batteries away from young children.

Practical Tips

  • Use low-volume mode in small rooms.
  • Use fresh alkaline batteries.
  • Play on a stable table with a clear floor around it.
  • Pick serving and floor-ball rules before the first point.
  • Try a bullseye target for a harder variant.

So, are you ready for the Rebounce game?
